These hunting action games have sold a total of 72 million copies across the entire series (as of March 31, 2021), and took the world by storm by developing cooperative gameplay between players through hunting monsters in beautiful natural locales.

The Monster Hunter series has gained explosive popularity around the globe since the release of the PlayStation 2 game Monster Hunter by Capcom in 2004. Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild is being written by Joshua Fine, who previously worked on Ultimate Spider-Man. The Monster Hunter special is designed to enrich the lore surrounding the series, while pleasing the fans of the video game franchise.

He gets his chance a little sooner than later when he found out that the village he lives in is along the path of an Elder Dragon, one of the most feared monsters in the series. Monster Hunter: Legend of the Guild tells a story of a brave young man who is determined to prove himself as a hunter. People may recognise Pure Imagination Studios for their work on LEGO Batman. The animated special will be co-produced and financed alongside Pure Imagination Studios. Being marked as a special means that it may not be a full-on animated film like Capcom’s Resident Evil 3D movies. Straight off of the recent the success of Monster Hunter: World, Capcom has announced Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild, a 3D animated special that will be released worldwide in 2019.
